Installing Solar Panels

Sailors don’t have means of electricity during sailing so, in such situation solar panels are of great use which help in functioning of important lights and appliances. These are sources of recharging batteries quickly. There are mainly three types of solar panels that include solar panels using monocrystalline cells, panel using polycrystalline cell and solar panels using amorphous silicon cells.

If you want to know the size and number of the solar panel you can easily search it online. Depending on the size and number of the solar panels required you can decide the best place where you can put them. The structure of the boat and panel size helps in determining the best place. Locations getting maximum sunlight are the best place for solar panel installation but there should be no shaded spot in that place.

There are three main components of marine solar panel (1) solar panel, (2) charge controller and (3) batteries. Solar panels should be installed after following the instructions given on the solar panels. If you want your solar panels to remain stable, you can make use OF braces\bars to secure them.
